Bridgett Rowley is the CEO
& Designer of Bridgett, Inc. A self taught artist, Bridgett comes
from a family of artisans and has thrived off this creative gene, engaging
herself in a variety of design projects over the last ten years.
Bridgett earned her Communications Degree from East Carolina University
prior to going into telecommunications and pharmaceutical sales. She
made the move into design in April of 2001 when she brought one of
her custom designed handbags to a wedding on Figure Eight Island, North
Carolina. She received such great feedback on her piece that she
started taking orders while still at the reception.
In October of 2003, she
was invited into the Atlanta Apparel Mart, and her pieces started selling
in stores around the Southeast. By February of 2004, her designs
were being carried by over 60 stores in 17 states. By March of 2004,
she joined the Dallas Apparel Mart.
In October 2004 Bridgett
joined Designers Betsey Johnson and Edward An on the runway during LA
Fashion Week. Bridgett attended the British Academy of Film and
Television Arts / Los Angeles (BAFTA) Britannia Awards in November and
celebrities received Bridgett handbags in their VIP gift bags.
By January 2005 Bridgett
relocated to Los Angeles, California to expand the company to the West
Coast. In February she was invited to contribute to the celebrity
boutique room at the Writers Guild Awards where her designs were
successfully received. |
